Roaming Shield is a boat monitoring and security system: a rugged onboard device that connects to your boat’s instruments and watches position, power, water, and security around the clock, and a mobile app that tells you the moment something needs your attention.
What it watches
Anchor watch: set your anchor point and swing radius; get woken only if you’re dragging. · Security: movement and geofence alerts, intrusion inputs, arm/disarm from your phone. · Boat health: battery, depth, temperature, wind and more, live from your boat’s NMEA 2000 instruments, plus bilge activity from direct sensors. · Power events: including a last-gasp alert as the device loses power. · Your rules: alert thresholds you set yourself, not factory presets.
Three independent connections: cellular, Ethernet into the boat’s own network, and long-range LoRa radio for off-grid anchorages. No chartplotter? Your phone or tablet shows your boat’s live data directly.
On the water now, launching in Australia in 2027
